Environmental Statement

SIGMA is committed to a better environment now and in the future. We strive each day to find new and innovative ways to contribute to a cleaner world. Our efforts are not limited to only the products that we make, we work in all areas of our business to reduce waste.

In our products, we are able to provide materials to help our customers attain a LEED certification. We strive to reduce the size and waste content of our packaging and shipping materials as well.

From a marketing standpoint, we are committed to reduction of waste by reducing our use and dependence on printed materials and employing an aggressive electronic knowledgebase as our primary means of communicating to his customers. Our goal is that printed materials will represent no more than 25% of our marketing materials.

In our offices, we encourage innovative ideas from our team members and listen to those around us to find ways to reduce consumption. We have undertaken several projects in IT, for example, to minimize waste. Our computer systems are all recycled. Each of our servers and desktop computers were formerly someone else’s before they were ours, and using an internal refurbishment process, we are proud to say that we have kept harmful materials from ending up in the landfill.

We ask that all of our customers and friends join with us to help create a better world for future generations by being responsible to the environment, even when it is not the easy thing to do.
